Chimney Repairs

No one should be in need of a masonry repair and be faced with a long drawn-out process. Allstar proudly offers a two-step process in masonry repairs. Step one consists of you getting your initial inspection. Step two consists of the technicians coming right back to your home to complete your specialized repair plan. A huge part of our mission is to provide quality repairs while also using the opportunity to involve and educate our customers. While working for you at your home, we like to help you understand the why behind the importance of the repair and how a proper and safe chimney structure looks. If your chimney is currently damaged, putting off the repair will cause further damage to your chimney and potentially your home as well. There is no better time than now to call us so we can send one of our technicians to you to give you your specialized repair plan.

There are so many repairs that can be necessary for your fireplace to function properly and provide you with the warmth and comfort you gain from it. In order for you to get the most from your fireplace, it must be in great working condition, which means sometime it may need repairs, just like your car or lawn mower, parts will wear out and need to be fixed or replaced. Many problems can be repaired and our highly trained technicians can do it all. We use top-notch products and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure your repairs are done quickly and efficiently. We will use heat-resistant mortar to tuck point your fireplace or chimney, Tuckpointing is the process of scraping away old loose mortar and replacing it with new mortar.

We will rework your profile joint ( the part of the fireplace that connects to your house) or we may have to parge your smoke chamber. Parging is a process of smoothing out the corbeled brick inside the chimney above the damper. This is important to create a good draft in your chimney so smoke doesn’t come back into your home. With innovative applicators and smoketite we no longer have to take apart your damper to perform this application; it can be done in a quicker, cleaner, and more efficient manner. We can repair refractory panels ( the heat-resistant panels that line the sides and bottom of your prefabricated fireplace) by filling in cracks to prevent fire from seeping in between and compromising the wood beams in your home. We have put our technicians through months of rigorous training, for them to be able to make any repairs to your fireplace that may be necessary to keep your home safe and your fireplace safe to burn in. Safety is our number one priority in caring for your fireplace and we want you to feel confident in the fact that the job was done right and your home is safe and secure when burning in it.

We strive to make repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible and allow you to enjoy the comfort your fireplace provides for you and your family. We do all this for a reasonable price to help keep your home fires burning.
